I have returned from the bowels of our local hospital, and have to admit overall I am appalled at the turn this has taken!
Ses, I am not avoiding you, but they will not let me use my phone in the ER so I missed your calls. Now I am all doped up on IV pain meds and don't think I am capable of arguing with anyone right now.
Having said that I will be in touch with you as soon as I have my wits about me provided that you can TALK to me and not engage in a screaming match that ends in nothing being resolved and us just hurling insults back and forth. I have enough stress going on right now to last me a lifetime, and I have no desire to fight with you or anyone else for that matter. Regardless of the situation we are in now I called you "my sister" once and I cannot completely abandon that and act as if the first 13 years of our friendship meant nothing. Why can't we just agree to disagree and call off the dogs?! Do you HONESTLY want to take this matter into a courtroom and waste your uncle's time? You have defended yourself here and as we both know this town is, and always will be, divided. The people who love you most will believe in you, the rest of the town doesn't know you and could care less...so what is the point in continuing this? Besides, WHAT exactly are you going to get if you did win in court? I have no money to speak of, my possessions are meager and few and it's not as if I plan to become a millionaire anytime soon. Seems to me that it would all just be a waste of time and energy.
